How Much Does it Cost?
Based on the range available, be quiet! has confirmed that consumers should expect the following prices (based on the wattage output):
Pure Power 11 FM | 550W | €89.90 | $89.90 | £79.99 |
Pure Power 11 FM | 650W | €99.90 | $99.90 | £89.99 |
Pure Power 11 FM | 750W | €114.90 | $114.90 | £105.99 |
So, with this 650W variant we have coming in at £89.99, what do we think about that? Well, quite frankly, we’re impressed. Yes, it certainly isn’t cheap, but you should never go cheap on a power supply in the first place. Yes, we’ll admit it’s never the most exciting component of a PC design, but a good PSU can (and should) last you many, many, years. – There are, however, two further factors of note that we think clearly demonstrate the value for money here. Firstly, be quiet! gives you a huge 5-year warranty with this power supply, and based on our efficiency testing, this is very nearly within ‘Platinum’ territory which, if it had that official stamp on it, would easily add another £30 to the price tag!
Overall, we think that while it’s not necessarily a bargain, the be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM is amazing value for money!
Performance
Throughout all of our testing, the be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM easily managed to provide excellent results and, in many aspects, well beyond the required or expected remit it needed. Definite highlights include the fantastic efficiency performance, amazingly low ripple noise, and the exceptionally tight voltage regulation. These are, however, mere highlights as, in a nutshell, everything about this PSU performance is amazing!
Practicality & Functionality
With its fully modular cable design, a generous number of connectors, and low noise output, there is absolutely no reason why this power supply wouldn’t be entirely suitable within any gaming or professional PC setup. Outside of the remits of HEDT’s or workstations, this is 100% suitable for practically all systems and, with its 650 watts of power, is (in the significant number of consumer requirements) more than enough for mid to high-end gaming PCs.
Should I Buy One?
As noted above, when it comes to power supplies you do often get what you pay for. With the be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM, however, while for £89.99 you certainly get a truly excellent power supply, through the results seen in our testing, this quite frankly should be commanding a higher price tag! – As such, on a consumer level for someone looking for a new PSU, while perhaps a little more than you might’ve wished to spend, I promise you that this is not only worth every single penny, but should easily provide you with amazing levels of performance and low noise output for many years to come!
