be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM 850W Power Supply Review

Packaging
The packaging provides you with exactly what you would expect to see from a be quiet! product. In other words, it’s predominantly black with some silver highlights. While the front of the box does give you a nice large image of the power supply, however, in something that won’t represent the first time I’ve made this criticism, I do often have to wonder about the merits of placing a predominantly black(ish) product on a predominantly black background (as you can see in the images, I’ve had to crank up the brightness a bit to make it more visible).
On the plus side, however, be quiet! has at least adjusted the contrast here to make the PSU entirely visible. It just doesn’t pop as well as it could.
Sadly, most of the good stuff in terms of the presentation ends at the front. While the rear of the packaging contains a product description and the technical specifications, on the whole, it’s all rather dry. The space hasn’t been used to its best capability, and, on the whole, while conveying most of the key information, a little bit of showmanship wouldn’t hurt here.
Accessories
When it comes to power supplies, you don’t exactly expect to find masses of accessories. I mean, why would you need them? While be quiet! has, therefore, kept things to a minimum, what you do get is a nice quality product manual, some screws to attach to the PSU to your case, and also 4 zip ties to help assist you in your cable management.
The one notable omission from this is any kind of storage bag for your cabling. No canvas bag, not even a plastic bag, the cables are all just wrapped together en-masse and placed within the main packaging. – Given that this is effectively a budget-focused entry-level product, or at least marketed as one, however, this isn’t entirely surprising.
