On the interior of the Pure Power 9, there’s quite a lot of hardware, but it’s all nicely spaced out to allow for optimal airflow and should also help reduce any unwanted interference from one component to the other.
There are a few aluminium heat sinks around major components, which will help shift any unwanted heat from the unit.
The main bulk capacitor is a Teapo 420V, 380uf 85c unit, not the high-end ones they use in their bigger PSUs, but still a decent quality component overall.
The EM and line-filtering stage looks improved from previous be quiet! units, with much cleaner cabling, and shrink wrapping on all major joints. Hopefully, this even stricter attention to detail will improve the power delivery further; we suspect it will.
There are some hard-wired cables on this unit, so you’ll see a few cables running directly to the main PCB. There’s very little excess through and any connections to the PCB look neatly soldered and have been wrapped to prevent damage or shorts. There’s a smaller PCB mounted vertically too, which again shows off the immaculate soldering work and also a small fan header for the Silent Wings PWM fan.
Another PCB towards the back, which allows for the modular cable ports and while there are a few cables running to this, they’re tucked into the back of the PCB where they shouldn’t effect the overall airflow inside the PSU.
