be quiet! Pure Rock 2 CPU Cooler Review

Performance

The be quiet! Pure Rock 2 is a (reasonably speaking) quite small air cooler and, as such, we didn’t expect it to top our charts in terms of temperature control. As you can see below, however, whether at stock or overclocked levels, it certainly did a more than acceptable job of keeping the CPU nice and cool. The biggest stand-out highlight, however, is undoubtedly the noise levels.

Put simply, this is one of the quietest coolers we have ever tested and over the general ‘ambient’ noise a system produces, you honestly would not hear this running at all. Remember too, while being amazingly quiet, it still gobbled up the CPU temperatures (even when overclocked) without a single grumble of complaint! As such, if you value a smooth and silent CPU cooler, that gives you more than a little wiggle room for processor performance, the Pure Rock 2 is definitely a great option for you!
