With a retail price of around £34.99, the be quiet! Pure Rock 2 is (perhaps) surprisingly less expensive than you might have expected. I mean, be quiet! certainly doesn’t seem to market this as an inexpensive cooling option and they’re not a brand generally associated with products at that price point.
Based on this, however, it’s definitely hard to argue against the fact that the Pure Rock 2 represents some excellent value for money.
As shown throughout our review in terms of both performance and aesthetics, it’s really hard to fault the be quiet! Pure Rock 2. It easily handles stock CPU settings and can even clearly be pushed into the realms of overclocking without any issues. Best of all, however, was the noise output.
The Pure Rock 2 is amazingly quiet and, even when the CPU was working harder, we honestly hardly ever noticed this coolers fan running at all. Put simply, if any one product summarized the name ‘be quiet!’ this is it!
When it comes to mid-tier CPU cooling solutions you clearly have masses of options to choose from. Putting its excellent performance to one side, however, one simply has to be astonished that this is available to purchase for such a low price! Particularly when you consider that the fan alone costs around £8.
The be quiet! Pure Rock 2, put simply, gives mid to upper-tier air cooling performance at a (give or take) entry-level price. With its solid levels of temperature control and amazingly low noise output, if you’re in the market for an amazing cooler that won’t hurt your wallet, this is it!
