be quiet! Shadow Base 800 FX PC Case Review

be quiet! is one of the coolest PC case makers in the business, and while they may have once been better known for their award-winning coolers and fans, their product range has grown significantly over the years. They have many of the absolute best power supplies on the market, AIO coolers, and of course, cases. The Shadow Base 800 FX is one of their most feature-packed and capable cases to date, and while that is reflected in a steeper price tag, if the quality is as good as their previous products, it will be a price worth paying.

Shadow Base 800 FX

Shadow Base 800 FX Black is an airflow-optimized midi-tower that offers impressive ARGB illumination and provides enough space for extensive components such as huge graphics cards and E-ATX motherboards. It comes equipped with four of their flagship Light Wings 140mm PWM ARGB fans, a PWM and ARGB hub, and ARGB lighting built into the sides of the front panel. The high-airflow design is set up for massive hardware, such as an E-ATX motherboard and 420mm radiators, so all of the biggest and best gaming hardware you can think of should be right at home in the Shadow Base 800 FX.

Features

  • ARGB lighting with ARGB controller for maximum illumination options
  • Multiple colours and modes for an individual look
  • 4 Light Wings 140mm PWM fans for high airflow and quiet operation
