be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim 2 CPU Cooler Review

Exterior Packaging
Carrying all of the branding you would expect to see from a be quiet! product, the front of the packaging gives you a nice clear view of the cooler and particularly so that stainless steel radiator that sits behind the fan. While it’s certainly on the minimalist side of things, it definitely gives you a nice clear impression of what you can expect from this product.
Due to its exceptionally small size, and poor choice of colour (silver on black) while the rest of the packaging does contain a decent amount of detail, the text itself is certainly not very easy work on the eyes. In fact, I actually had to pull my glasses out of my desk to read it, and, just to put this into context, up until this point in my life I’ve worn them slightly less than I have high heels.
All of the information you need to know is there for sure, but in terms of presentation, the details and specifications could’ve been significantly better. Even if through simply better optimisation of the space available.
Accessories!
In terms of accessories, be quiet! has you fully covered with everything you need right out of the box (with the only exception being a screwdriver) to successfully mount this cooler to your PC. Both Intel and AMD parts come in neatly labelled separate packages meaning that you only need to open those specifically applicable to your mounting system (and having fewer small parts lying around is always beneficial to the installation!).
be quiet! also provides you with a nice quantity of thermal compound which should be sufficient for at least two mountings. In addition, you are also provided with a second set of fan mounting brackets should you choose at a later date to opt for a push/pull fan configuration. And just to clarify, this does come out of the box with just one fan. It’s always nice having options for the future though!
