be quiet! Shadow Wings 2 120mm/140mm Fan Review

Final Thoughts

How Much Does it Cost?

While there is a little bit of variance in the different models, the be quiet! Shadow Wings 2 fans generally retail for a price in the region of £20-£25. This puts them exactly in the right place in terms of performance system fans which should not be confused for those that retail for half and money and mostly belong in the bin!

On noise levels alone, these are some of the quietest fans we’ve seen and that, in itself, should make them seem very attractive for the price.

Which Model is Right For Me?

Well, this depends on exactly on where your priorities lie. Although there are 140mm fan compatible coolers currently available, the chances are that your fans will be the standard 120mm design. As such, on the whole, you have to consider what you want from these. It does, of course, go without saying that if you plan to use these as cooler fan replacement, the PWM models are the way to go for their precise and variable speed control.

If you are, however, looking for an upgrade to provide a strong performance with low noise, then the Shadow Wings 2 would provide an excellent option for your chassis/airflow fans.

Conclusion

We have in the past had something of a mixed bag experience when it comes to be quiet! designed coolers. Their fans, however, are without a doubt perhaps their single most impressive product. As a manufacturer, they are constantly looking at ways to provide the best performance possible while keeping low noise levels at an absolute minimum.

In that regard, the Shadow Wings 2 range certain fulfils the remit. Not only that though, but even in terms of aesthetics (and yes, there isn’t an RGB in sight) the fans rippled wing design and even the basic outlay of the fans look fantastic.

If you’re in the market for an upgrade to your chassis fans, we would wholeheartledly recommend these!
