The fan’s main section consists of 7 black blades featuring the Silent Wings technology and a relatively small motor which features Be Quiet!’s “high-quality” IC motor control.
The rear of the motor features a sticker which states the model number, fan series and operational specifications. The impellers and motor are partially separated from the frame by being located in their own circular housing. This design feature could potentially reduce noise output.
4 connection pints at each corner of the fan can be used with either of the interchangeable fan mounting accessories.
Silent Wings technology on the blades is what Be Quiet! claim to be the reason for their low-noise, high-performance operation. The multiple grooves give rise different airflow paths which are optimised for low-noise operation while still maintaining a good amount of airflow.
A black braided cable uses a 3-pin connector to supply the fan’s power. The use of a 3-pin connector means that this fan is entirely voltage controlled unlike its PWM counterpart.
