be quiet Silent Wings Pro 4 Fan Review

There’s no shortage of great quality fans these days, with the likes of Thermaltake, Noctua, Arctic and countless other brands all having very competitive products. However, it’s no secret that be quiet! have long had some of the absolute best on the market, and with them recently releasing their flagship Silent Wings Pro 4, we just had to get some in for a closer look!

Silent Wings Pro 4

With a revised blade arrangement, the Silent Wings Pro 4 promises a “new generation performance” and has been designed completely from scratch. They feature new blades, but also tighter tolerances than ever, with the blades now a little longer than usual to improve their performance within their respective form factors, with both a 120mm and 140mm model being made available.

What’s unique about these fans is that they are customisable to suit your needs, with removable corner attachments that can make them better for airflow or static pressure, so you can use them in your cases, coolers or radiators. There’s also a hardware-level speed control, with a switch on the fans themselves allowing you to select medium, high speed and ultra-high-speed modes to suit your requirements for increased performance or silence. There’s even their latest 6-pole 3-phase motor with a Fluid-dynamic bearing, which has lower power consumption, less vibration, plus overall improved performance and a life span of up to 300,000 hours.
