The Be Quiet Straight Power E9 680W power supply really looks fantastic and this is definitely one of Be Quiet’s major selling points.
The side of the unit features Be Quiet! etched into the metal casing and looks really sleek.
The other side features details of the power break down across the rails.
The base is plain with just a serial number and some certification stickers.
The rear uses a standard kettle lead, has an on/off switch, hexagonal ventilation mesh and a Be Quiet logo.
The cabling design is all modular except the 24 Pin which uses a fixed design and because of that we would say this is still only a semi-modular power supply.
Hardwired to the unit is a motherboard 24 pin only. It is partially sleeved thought there is a lot of exposed cabling and the sleeving isn’t really thick enough for my liking.
Modular cables include four Molex and SATA cables providing 9 SATA connectors, 6 Molex connectors and 1 FDD connector. They also come with Velcro cable ties.
With the next set of modular cables you get four 6+2 pin connectors and a single 4+4 pin connector.
A satisfactory PSU’s for most builds. I assume all the wires are 18 AWG including the 8 pin ATX…
