Beat This Difficult Puzzle Game and Win a Bitcoin!

Get ready for Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma!

In just a few days, Steam will receive a very interesting puzzle game that promises a hefty reward if you manage to beat it. The reward sits at 1 Bitcoin, which is about $10,737 USD at the time of writing. Dubbed Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma, the game will come out on February 20, and it will include 24 puzzles. You’ll be able to tackle these puzzles yourself or with friends, and you’ll even be able to leave clues behind for others. Of course, you’ll also be able to leave fake clues that lead them on a wild goose chase. The game represents the hard work of Gem Rose Collective, whose members want to remain anonymous for now.

What about the gameplay and the price?

This puzzle game is set in a maze, and it can be played from a first-person perspective. For just $1.99, you won’t be burning a hole in your wallet, but you could potentially win a significant prize. Those of you who are good at puzzles will definitely want to try this one out. After the prize is won, the game is over. Apparently, the developers will also reveal their identities at that point. Gem Rose Accent issued the following statement:

“We are trying to keep our identities secret for now. But we can say we are a group of game developers and that we had a crazy idea for a game. As huge fans of treasure hunts we took inspiration from riddles like La Chouette d’Or (the golden owl), a statue of the owl was buried in 1993 at the same time a series of clues were published, and still nobody has solved the clues to find the owl and claim the 15kg (33lb) statue made of gold and silver.”

French treasure hunting book On the Trail of the Golden Owl came out in 1993. Nobody managed to solve its mysteries in order to find out the location of the buried owl statue, but people are still trying to this day. Since Steam apparently allows games to offer monetary rewards to customers, this title will likely become quite popular soon.

Make sure to keep an eye out on Steam if you’d like to have a crack at it!
