Gigabyte (and AORUS) are well known for their high-performance notebooks, and 2019 is no exception. First up, we have their latest AERO 15, which comes in a range of designs and colours. However, the main features here are the updated hadware. You’ll find a choice of Intel 9th Gen i7 and i9 CPUs to choose from. There’s also RTX 20 series GPUs on the higher end models, as well as GTX 16xx series cards on the more affordable models.
Each comes equipped with a choice of the gorgeous LG IPS 144 Hz Panel, the Sharp IGZO 240 Hz panel, or the superb AUO 4K Adobe RGB 100% panel. Which one is right for you? That’s for you to decide.
Each are equipped with features like the Samsung DRAM, Nehimic 3 Audio, Killer E2500 and Wireless AC networking, etc. However, they’re also the first Microsoft Azure AI software for smart system performance tuning.
If you’re not happy with the display options above, you can opt for their new OLED equipped model. It features the fantastic Samsung 4K UHD AMOLED panel. Pictures don’t do the infinite contrast ratios and justice, but honestly, it’s staggering to see such a panel in such a beautiful notebook.
This one is pretty slick too, again, similar hardware options are available. The bit selling point here is the cooling performance. It scored 6910 in Firestrike, but still managed to score only a few points higher when the system was placed in a near zero degree temperature controlled chamber. This tells us that they’re already maxing the efficiency even in a room that was about 22c ambient!
This one did make us chuckle, can you see why? It’s equipped with the Intel 9th Gen i7, as well as that fantastic LG 15.6″ FHD 144Hz IPS Panel, and a GTX 16 series graphics card range. It’s a well equipped system, but the RTX On marketing is clearly on the wrong system, as GTX cards aren’t RTX cards. Whoopsie. Joking aside though, this is a pretty dope laptop for both work and gaming needs.
Stepping up, you get the same laptop with an LG 17.3″ panel. Albeit this one does come with a choice of RTX cards or GTX cards to suit your requirements. Of course, it’ll be a fair bit more expensive too.
Finally, their flagship Aorus 17. This comes with the Intel i7 or i9 options, a fully mechanical keyboard, a choice of 240Hz or a 4K panel, and RTX 20xx series graphics.
All these should be hitting the market now, however, we have no final prices as these vary based on specifications and region.
We just want to say a massive thank you to our sponsors for Computex 2019; EK, Taitra, Patriot, Corsair and Viper Gaming. We’ll be bringing you the latest products and news for all these brands and many more while we’re in Taiwan. Check out our Computex 2019 event page for the latest!
