Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
BenQ has another monitor for their lineup with the new SW271. This is not built for gaming however, but for color accuracy and is ideal for professional photography use. The BenQ SW271 features a 27-inch 4K UHD 10-bit panel that boasts 99% Adobe RGB and 100% sRGB colorspace coverage. It also supports High-Dynamic Range content, 100% Rec.709 and 93% DCI-P3 coverage.
BenQ SW271 Features
Like any respectable color-accurate monitor, the SW271 uses an IPS panel. This provides the monitor with a wide viewing angle as well of 178 / 178 degrees (left, right, up and down).
It measures 368.9×613.8×62.65 without the base, and weighs 9.3 kilograms. The height is adjustable up to 150mm and it can tilt down 5 degrees as well as tilt up 20 degrees.
In terms of connectivity, it has USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 2 (no power delivery), 2x USB 3.0 downstream, 1x USB 3.0 upstream. For display it has an HDMI 1.4 port, and a pair of DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.
To ensure color accuracy, BenQ bundles the monitor with Palette Master Element Calibration Software. The monitor also has a GamutDuo function, allowing users to see two different color-spaces side-by-side. This enables professionals to ensure that their project is seen as it should be across different systems. The display also comes with a hood accessory bundled to prevent ambient light from affecting display visibility.
