BenQ has today launched its new ideaCam webcam which also features a lens attachment to provide up to 15x zoom.
The ideaCam is a specialized multi-mode desktop webcam which is designed for creators and makers revolutionising creative possibilities. The webcam features four shooting modes: Portrait, Desk View, Handheld and Macro all of which offer various different angles and use cases. Portrait view is your standard webcam experience, Desk View allows for effortless display of objects or documents on the desktop and is aided by the auto-flip which allows for a seamless transition between desk and portrait views. Handheld mode offers unique camera angles as well as immersive close-ups which are further enhanced by the Macro lens offering up to 15x zoom for those finer details.
The ideaCam is equipped with an 8-megapixel Sony sensor setting a new standard in visual experience. The cam is capable of delivering a near 4K image with an optimized resolution of 3264×2488 at a 4:3 aspect ratio making it highly effective at delivering a detailed look at books and objects. A high-resolution camera isn’t much unless it has been paired up with the right lighting, and the ideaCam has exactly that with the built-in ring light offering consistent and balanced lighting.
The ideaCam rounds off its robust feature set with the inclusion of an integrated noise-cancelling microphone. This microphone makes it far more than a camera but also a perfect all-in-one companion for the needs of different creative professionals.
Pairing up with the ideaCam is the inclusion of the EnSpire Control Puck, a dedicated remote control designed to be specifically used with the EnSpire software. The control puck seamlessly integrates with the app and webcam allowing a convenient tool to control your webcam smoothly and creatively. The EnSpire app and control puck are compatible with popular platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.
