BenQ Reveals the BL2420Z Low Blue-Light Monitor

BenQ has recently released a new 24-inch business monitor, which was designed specifically for those of you who spend a lot of time working in front of bright screens. Dubbed BL2420Z, this monitor boasts a special low blue-light mode, which minimizes blue light emissions by up to 70 percent. Moreover, the brightness of its LED backlighting is also reduced through a non-PWM method, which basically guarantees a flicker-free experience. Apart from these features, we’re looking at a relatively basic monitor that features a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Other noteworthy details include a 3000:1 static contrast ratio, maximum viewing angles of 178°/178° and a maximum brightness level of 250 cd/m². As far as inputs are concerned, this product offers HDMI, DVI, D-Sub and DisplayPort, not to mention its 2-port USB hub and 2W stereo speakers. Oddly enough, even though this is not necessarily a gaming monitor, it does come with a gaming-inspired stand and a headset stand. No word on pricing and availability just yet, but since this is not exactly a high-end offering but more of a casual business product, it’s not likely that the price tag will be out of this world.

Would you purchase the BenQ BL2420Z for your working needs, or do you prefer to stick to a gaming monitor?
