Euro Truck Simulator 2

zoom_4 (1)

Trucking on the open road can be a little bit tedious at the best of times, but strapping on the DK2 converts this otherwise humble simulator into a grand test of your driving skill. Checking your mirrors, poking your head out the window to check your clearance when reversing, or leaning over the dashboard to check for oncoming traffic at a junction. These are all just simple little things that turn this into an incredible VR experience.

Live For Speed

WST011

Eager to pick a car, pick a track and just get straight into the action? LFS is certainly the way to go. Not only is this game available as a free demo, which offers up a couple of cars and tracks, but you can also unlock more content in two tiers for even more cars and tracks. The graphics aren’t the best in the business, but the cars handle really well. The VR works with ease and there are plenty of customisation options available for a wide range of controllers and physics options to best suit your skill.

Star Conflict

This one is certainly a standout title on my list, not only is it free-to-play, but it also works incredibly well with Oculus Rift. The developers have really done a great job setting up Oculus Rift here and you’ll be flying around a field of asteroids and derelict space stations, taking part in epic space dog-fights in next to no time. Of course, the game does feature micro transactions, but there’s still plenty of action in the free edition, great news if you’ve just spent all your money on VR capable hardware.

Assetto Corsa

Another premium option and our third driving game. Assetto Corsa is still in the early access stages, but it’s an incredibly well polished racing experience. Incredible graphics, a great selection of famous tracks from around the world, fully licenced cars and experimental DK2 support. It’s a bit of a pain to get working, but it gets better with ever update. If you take your driving games seriously, this is where you want to spend your money.
