In our most recent story on Bethesda we showed you a couple of their teaser video clips that hinted at what their next project be. We offered a few suggestions such as Fallout 4, Wolfenstein and Project Zwei while a few of you also seemed to suggest it would be Fallout 4 too. However, the new game is a horror game called “The Evil Within”, totally unexpected by most.
The Evil Within is a brand new survival-horror genre game currently being developed by Tango Gameworks with Shinji Mikami – creator of the Resident Evil franchise. The “father” of the survival horror genre will be directing Bethesda’s Japanese studio in the overall development of this new game.
“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within,” Mikami disclosed in the game’s official press release. “My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”
The game is expected to make a 2014 launch on PC, Xbox 360 & Xbox 720 and Playstation 3 & Playstation 4. Additional information will reportedly see daylight on Monday April the 22nd so we will be sure to bring you that.
In the meantime be sure to check out the, rather scary, official game trailer.
