Bethesda Teases “The Evil Within 2” Story with New Gameplay Trailer

A new “Survive” gameplay trailer for Bethesda Softworks’ The Evil Within 2 is now online. The survival, psychological horror game is a sequel to the 2014 title of the same name. The sequel’s development is by Tango Gameworks of Japan.

Evil Within 2 actually takes place three years after the events of the original. The main character Sebastian returns to look for his believed-to-be-dead daughter Lily. The original was well received and the sequel opens with high expectations as well. The gameplay trailer reveals the bones of the plot. It also shows how the actual gameplay seamlessly blends into a video narrative, almost like a movie.

Users who pre-order the game will receive “The Last Chance Pack”, a selection of bonus items that help within the game. This includes an exclusive burst handgun, crafting supplies and medical supplies.

Release Date

The Evil Within 2 is coming out on October 13th, 2017. Moreover, in keeping with the horror theme Bethesda Softworks set it perfectly for a Friday the 13th launch.

The title will have simultaneous release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. The Xbox promotional material for the game even includes 4K Ultra HD, and HDR logos. In other words, expect the game to push that console’s hardware capabilities.
