Bethesda has revealed that the up-coming DLC for Fallout 4 will introduce an “overhaul” of many of the game’s elements, primarily to its Survival Mode. The developer teased the changes on its official Twitter account.
“We know you’re ready to learn what’s coming for Fallout 4 DLC. We’re not far off, and we think you’ll be excited,” one tweet read, adding, “We’re also doing a complete overhaul of Fallout 4 Survival mode. Food, sleep, diseases, danger and more. Stay tuned.”

In the meantime, Digital Foundry has been testing out the latest update for Fallout 4, which brought many improvements. Sadly, improved frame rate for console versions is not one of them. The 1.3 Update, though, does improve the game’s draw distance – with no noticeable effect on performance – and improved textures on certain assets.
“Patch 1.03 looks like a good upgrade overall then,” the Digital Foundry post on Eurogamer reads, “and our only real grievance with is the failure to address the harsh hiccups to play on Xbox One when switching weapons (or traveling around heavily built up areas). Of all the issue’s we’re keen to see fixed, this still ranks highly on the list – though for now it can be alleviated by running the Xbox One version from an SSHD or SSD.”
