The highly anticipated Summer Game Fest 2024 is just around the corner. However, fans expecting news on some major titles might be in for a disappointment. Host Geoff Keighley has confirmed that several big-name games and personalities will not be making an appearance at this year’s event.
Geoff Keighley took to social media over the weekend to manage expectations for the upcoming event. During a live Q&A session on Twitch, Keighley revealed that GTA 6, The Wolf Among Us 2, and games from Josef Fares will not be featured. Fans of these highly anticipated titles will have to wait a bit longer for updates.
In addition to GTA 6 and The Wolf Among Us 2, several other major titles are also confirmed to be missing from the Summer Game Fest lineup. These include Judas, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Def Jam, Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, and Fight Nights at Freddy’s. Keighley emphasized that the focus will be on existing games rather than making massive new announcements.
One notable change this year is the absence of the traditional “one more thing” announcement at the end of the show. Keighley mentioned that there will be no final surprise to wrap up the event, which is a common feature in many gaming showcases. This change is intended to set clear expectations for the audience.
While some big names are missing, Summer Game Fest 2024 will still offer plenty of exciting content. The event will focus on updates and showcases for existing games.
