Bill Gates’ Donkey Game Becomes Available on iPhones and Apple Watches

Bill Gates is known for many things, and one of his greatest achievements was to co-found one of the world’s most famous software companies: Microsoft. However, Gates also has plenty of other notches in his belt, including programming the world’s first PC game. The game in question was actually co-written by Gates back in 1981, and it was dubbed DONKEY.BAS. What makes this game special is that it was written in BASIC programming language, and it was actually quite fun in its own way as it allowed users to run over donkeys who appeared before a moving car. Nowadays, such a game would not simply run on our operating systems, which is why someone decided to release a modern version of it for Apple’s iPhones and Watches.
The man that we’re talking about is Johnny Ixe, who developed DONKEY.app as an homage to the classic 1981 retro arcade program. This new version shows off the game in 8-bit, just like it was intended, and even though it’s not exactly free, it won’t exactly drain your bank account, as it only costs 99 cents. The Donkey Game description is actually quite catchy, and given the game’s heritage and retro looks, it will probably become quite a hit on the App store in no time at all.
“For the first time on watchOS and iOS, relive the classic game that started it all! Beat the DONKEYS and become the top driver you’re born to be!”
Well, I’m sold!
