As expected, the motherboard’s embedded APU isn’t suitable for heavy computational tasks and struggles to complete the Cinebench test in a timely manner. Even though the final result is slow, it’s acceptable when you consider the package’s price point.

On a similar note, the motherboard takes a considerable amount of time to complete the PI calculation and it’s clear that this isn’t the product’s forte.

SiSoft Sandra

When analysing the CPU performance in SiSoft Sandra, we can see that the motherboard posts a decent result for a budget all-in-one solution. Once again, it’s important to note that pushing the embedded CPU to the absolute limit in demanding applications is unfair and shouldn’t be the determining factor whether you consider purchasing.

3DMark

When paired with the Sapphire Tri-X OC R9 290X, the motherboard obtains a good 3DMark score. Clearly, the CPU is holding back the graphics card’s full potential and a cheaper GPU would be a better fit.

Tomb Raider

In Tomb Raider, the BIOSTAR A68N-5200 attains an excellent average frame rate above 80 and doesn’t suffer from consistent stutter or sudden dips.

Bioshock Infinite

The performance isn’t particularly smooth when tackling the Bioshock Infinite benchmark and hovers around the 30-50 mark depending on which scene is being rendered.
