BIOSTAR A68N-5200 Motherboard Review

Storage Performance
Linear Read
When it comes to storage, the motherboard is lacking and the read speeds could be much faster. Unfortunately, the SSD couldn’t achieve an average above 500MB/s which is below par based on previous product reviews. Also, the USB 3.0 read wasn’t great and I’d expect it to reach the 280MB/s mark as a bare minimum.
Linear Write
On a more positive note, the USB 3.0 write was much more competitive and almost rivalled motherboards with a higher price point. Saying that, the SATA rate remained lacklustre despite multiple attempts to see if the SSD had a hardware problem. To be fair, the performance is good enough for normal circumstances and you’re unlikely to feel begrudged given the product’s target demographic.
