Biostar adds budget Z68 board to its range

Biostar have released a new Intel Socket 1155 motherboard on the Z68 chip set. The motherboard has been designed with value in mind targeting the lower end of the market. The TZ68+ is an updated version of the current TZ68+ motherboard and it supports an 8 phase VRM design in comparison to the older version which uses a 4 phase VRM design which will allow for better overclocking capabilities. The additional VRM phases mean more heat so the VRM has its own dedicated heat sink.
The boards main features are:
- Two PCI-E lanes wired to 16X and 4X
- Single PCI-E 2.0 1X slot
- Two legacy PCI slots
- Two SATA 6GB/s ports
- Four SATA 3GB/s ports
- LPT and COM headers
- Two USB 3.0 ports on the rear
- Abundant USB 2.0 connectivity
- 6 Channel Audio
- HDMI, DVI, VGA
- PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse Combo port
- UEFI BIOS
Pricing will be impressive, around $100 or about £60 which is extremely good value for a socket 1155 board.
