BIOSTAR Announce Latest GTX 1080 Graphics Card

The battle for the high-end GPU market has been pretty exciting this last few weeks, as the 4K gaming monster that is the Nvidia GTX 1080 hit the market. Now BIOSTAR enter the market with their own GTX 1080, offering up the usual hardware for those who prefer to support their brand.

“The BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1080 features the GP104 GPU sporting 2560 CUDA cores and runs with a base core clock of 1607Mhz. Featuring GPU Boost 3.0, the BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1080 can run up to 1733Mhz and features 8GB of GDDR5X video memory connected a 256-bit bus interface.”

It’s fairly standard in terms of design, with the stock GTX 1080 cooler, but that doesn’t make it any less of a great card. It’ll still run, hard, fast and quiet.

“The BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1080 is intended for use for today’s demanding graphics application including next-generation virtual-reality experiences. With thrice the performance of last generation’s graphics cards, the new GTX 1080 makes gaming in ultra high-definition a much more fluid experience.”

“NVIDIA leverages new technologies for this generation of graphics card and allows players to fully immerse themselves while providing higher performance for existing games and serving as a launch pad for new ones. Technology like Simultaneous Multi-Projection, ANSEL and Fast Sync allow gamers to fully maximize their gaming experience but also enjoy a whole new level of realism with VR.”

The BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1080 will have an MSRP of USD $799 and should be hitting retailers very soon. Will you be putting one in your system?
