BIOSTAR Expands GPU Range With GTX 1070 Card

Biostar just announced the latest addition to their graphics cards line-up and this time it is a GeForce GTX 1070 card. The new card is in its essence a simple card as it comes with the Nvidia inspired cooler that we’ve seen many times before.
The GTX 1070 graphics cards are hitting a great sweet spot between price and performance, allowing a wide audience an entry into both 4K gaming and VR gaming with power to spare. Okay, some might argue that a price point of $449.99 isn’t for everyone, but compared to previous generation graphics cards, their performance and price, it’s a bargain.
The BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1070 features the Pascal-based, high-efficiency GP104 GPU with a total of 1920 CUDA cores capable of running with a Boost core clock of 1683 Mhz and a base core clock of 1506 Mhz. With GPU Boost 3.0, the BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1070 can run up to and above 1683Mhz and features 8GB of GDDR5 video memory wired to a wide 256-bit bus interface.
The specifications are pretty much what we’ve seen from other similar cards in this series and as such, there isn’t any need to go further into them – but you can see them all in the chart above and refresh your memory in that regard. But more cards on the market from more manufacturers is something that’s great for us all. Competition means better prices and that’s one of the key factors for consumers. The best bang for the buck.
