Biostar Introduces the B250MDC Motherboard

Biostar might have higher-end motherboard solutions now, but they have not forgotten about those looking for a budget solution entirely. In fact their latest motherboard is the B250MDC, specifically for low-cost builds. As the name suggests, it uses an Intel B250 chipset supporting LGA1151 CPUs from the Kaby Lake family. Intel has not released any alternate chipsets for Coffee Lake yet besides the Z370 so going with a 200-series chipset is the only option for budget motherboards.
Biostar B250MDC Features
The Biostar B250MDC supports Intel Kaby Lake CPUs with up to 95W TDP. There are two DDR4 DIMM slots available for dual-channel configurations. It also has the bare minimum of 4x SATA3 connectors, one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot with a pair of PCIe 3.0 x1.0 slots. As for connectivity, there are two USB 2.0 ports at the rear IO and two more via an onboard header. For USB 3.0, there are four ports in the rear and there is one available via on-board header.
The Onboard audio and Gigabit Ethernet uses Realtek chips, sepcifically the ALC887 and RTL8111H respectively. There are only three analog audio jacks available at the rear IO. However, these are retaskable so that users can use it for up to 8-channel configurations. Users can also take advantage of the onboard CPU graphics via a DVI-D port or via the legacy VGA port in the rear.
Pricing Information
The Biostar B250MDC has an MSRP of $59.99 USD.
