Intel’s 8th Gen CPUs and Z370 chipset may be out, but Biostar is offering a more affordable alternative for builders. Their new H110MDE supports the 6th and 7th generation Intel Core processors on a micro-ATX form factor. As the name suggests, it uses the H110 chipset which is the entry level offering below B150. Instead of providing 8x PCIe 3.0 lanes, it offers 6 x PCIe 2.0 and lacks the Intel AMT and RAID function. However, it still has 1 x 16x PCIe 3.0 slot available for discrete graphics cards. The board also has four SATA ports natively from the chipset.
As for the inherent features of the budget board, it uses a Realtek RTL8111G for Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. It also uses a Realtek ALC662 6-channel HD audio codec with special audio capacitors for filtering. There are two DIMM slots available for up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4.
The rear IO also provides IGP display connectors. This includes a DVI-D port and a VGA port for up to dual simulatneous 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz output. There are numerous USB ports available as well including two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports at the rear and two USB 2.0 ports. Two additional USB 3.1 Gen1 ports are available via an on-board header, and four more USB 2.0 ports are available via two 9-pin headers.
Just like the recently introduced Biostar Introduces the B250MDC motherboard, the H110MDE is very affordable at only $54.99.
