BIOSTAR Launches GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card

While BIOSTAR has been more well-known for their motherboards, the company does have a decent presence in the graphics card market. After launching several GeForce 10 series Pascal based cards earlier in the year, the Taiwanese company is following up with a new GP107 model, the BIOSTAR GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
As expected, the card feature 4GB of GDDR5 over a 128bit bus paired with the full GP107 GPU. The core is clocked at 1290 MHz base and boosts to 1392 MHz with a total of 768 CUDA cores on the 16nm process. For cooling, the card is paired with the BIOSTAR Tank Dual Fan cooler, designed in collaboration with World of Tanks.
In line with the World of Tanks collaboration, BIOSTAR is bundling in a game code for the game’s Asia server. This includes:
- German T-15 tank
- 7 days premium access
- 500 gold
- 1 garage slot
- 5x chocolates
- 5x +50% Exp boosters 1 hour duration
With an MSRP of $159, the card does come out slightly higher than some of it competitors. However, I expect the real world pricing will be somewhat lower. Throwing in the World of Tanks bundle code as well as any of Nvidia’s other promotions, the card seems a reasonable buy for those that suit it.
