Biostar Racing AM3 Gaming Mouse Launched

The new Biostar Racing AM3 gaming mouse is the latest addition to Biostar’s gaming peripheral line up, sporting a more aggressive aesthetic design than the previously announced AM2 gaming mouse several months ago. Inside, the Biostar Racing AM3 gaming mouse uses a PixArt PMW-3320 optical sensor (same sensor used on the MadCatz R.A.T. 1 mouse) that has a tracking speed of 80 ips and the mouse itself has an adjustable DPI preset settings of 800, 1200, 2400 and 5000 DPI. The main left and right buttons uses Huano switches with a 10 million life-cycle rating (same switches typical used on Zowie mice).
In terms of dimension, it measures 122 x 67 x 34mm and weighs 149 grams so it is heavier than most gaming mice. The most interesting thing about the Biostar Racing AM3 gaming mouse however is probably the price since it is available for just $15.99 USD, making it an attractive budget gaming mice option for many users. Understandably, there are not many extras considering the price but there are two DPI buttons, the scrollwheel is wider than the average, has back and forward thumb buttons and there is LED lighting. It is not ambidextrous like the Biostar AM2, and it is designed for right-handed users. The cable is nylon and non-braided but equipped with anti-fraying protection covers on each terminal end. It would be interesting where Biostar goes from here with their possible AM4 offering because $15.99 is an very good price for any gaming mice.
