Biostar Announces TB250-BTC PRO Mining Motherboard with 12 PCIe Slots

Cryptocurrency mining is back in the forefront once again, with eager miners buying up the GPU stock everywhere. While many know that they have to pick the right video card to efficiently mine, a proper motherboard is not often discussed. This is why Biostar is releasing the new TB250-BTC PRO specifically tailored for multi-GPU mining.
TB250-BTC PRO Built for Mining
The TB250-BTC PRO is an upgrade from Biostar’s own TB250-BTC. In fact with 12 PCIe x1 slots, it can do the work of two TB250-BTC motherboards. Biostar already did the math and calculated that with six GTX1060 and six RX470 graphics cards, the ROI is only 79 days. This is with an approximate 246.6MH/s hashrate. Compared to two separate TB250-BTC motherboards with six GPUs of each, the ROI takes 97 days to recoup. This is with an approximate hash rate of 134.4MH/s for the six RX470 and 112.2MH/s for the six GTX1060.
One less motherboard means component savings as well for the mining setup. One less DDR4 memory kit, one less CPU, less power supply and one less motherboard required.
The layout is also much more organized so riser cables do not short each other out. Each slot is wired via the B250 chipset independently and one slot is wired directly to the CPU. There are also two 4-pin molex auxiliary power ports to feed the bus power properly.
