Six months after being announced at San Diego Comic-Con, BioWare Austin has announced that its “online action-RPG” Shadow Realms has been cancelled. Jeff Hickman, General Manager of BioWare’s Austin team, says that the company is instead prioritising work on Star Wars: The Old Republic, DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the next Mass Effect game.
BioWare has said that anyone who signed up for Shadow Realms’ closed alpha will be rewarded, but has not yet disclosed what form that reward might take.
Rumour has it that BioWare is working on another, as-yet-undisclosed game, possibly the project that was teased by the company at last year’s E3.
