A Closer Look

The detachable microphone features a flexible boom and a gold-plated jack, it’s nice quality and feels really durable, so it should survive long gaming sessions with ease.

The included cable are really high quality, with cool looking aluminium covers on the jack plugs. The cable seen below can be used independently or with the headphone/microphone splitter cable depending on your setup, be that direct to your PC, or a mobile device / media player.

The splitter cable allows you to take the 4-pole 3.5mm jack of the main audio cable and split it into 2 x 3-pole 3.5mm jack plugs for the headsets dual connections.

The in-line controller is pretty simple, but durable too. It features a sturdy two-way switch on the back for microphone mute/unmute.

Around the front of the in-line controller we have a linear slider for master volume control.

The headset is finished in a soft plastic / rubber material that BitFenix use on their PC cases, their SofTouch finish feels fantastic, but it is also quite durable as far as finishes go. The model we have here is blue (obviously) and this is accented by a touch of silver plastic trim around the outside of the ear cup and with the BitFenix logo on the back of each ear cup.

The soft and flexible inner headband provides a comfortable fit that will adjust its self to your head shape and size. Strength is added by two support bars that form the frame of the headset, these offer plenty of torsion too and this will help keep the ear cups snug to your ears.

The headband also features five padded sections that should help provide a more comfortable fit.

On the underside of the left ear cup you’ll find the jack plugs. one for audio, one for the microphone. This is why BitFenix include a Y-split cable for audio input/output.

The ear cups are pretty slim and the compact size helps keep weight down and makes them easier to store in you bag between uses or when travelling.

The side mounts are slightly adjustable, but not by much, most of the adjustment is dealt with by the flexible inner-headband.

Need to take a quick listen DJ style? No problem, both ear cups are completely reversible, this also makes cleaning the soft padding super easy.

The microphone looks a little out of place on the headset, but I love that you can remove it completely if you so desire. It’s design may be chunky, but the build quality is great.
