BitFenix Hydra Pro Fan Controller Review

Lets start by taking a look at the packaging. The Hydra Pro comes in a box that is only a little bigger than the actual product, but as you can see it comes with a great product shot of the fan controller on the front and features some text telling us it provides control of both fans and LED lighting.
Around the back we can see the Hydra Pros main specification, such as its dimensions which mean it takes up 1 x 5.25″ drive bay, supports 5 fan channels at 30w per channel, more than enough to drive some seriously high powered fans if that is what you wish, it features a further 5 LED connectors and is all powered by a single 4-pin molex adaptor,
There isn’t much in the way of extras with this item, although there doesn’t really need to be, but you will find the quick installation guide and four installation screws for securing it in the optical drive bay. The instructions are a welcome addition, but anyone with a basic understanding of component installations won’t need it as the devices connection cables are pretty self explanatory.
