This is where the Neos really wins, Overclockers.co.uk currently have a wide range of colour options for the Neos ranging from just £27.95 to £33.95. This makes the Neos incredibly good value for money and it’s going to prove great competition against rival brands given its overall feature set and aesthetics.
Overview
BitFenix make some stunning premium grade chassis that have been proving a smash hit with systems builders year after year, and while the Neos lacks some of the higher end build quality we often see from BitFenix, it’s easy to see that the Neos is going to be just as popular. In terms of design this is a superb looking case overall; the colour options on the front panel, as well as a choice of black or white for the main chassis is something that proved popular in the past for BitFenix, especially with the Prodigy, so it’s nice to see the they’ve continued the trend. Colour matching your build components is a great way of making your build really stand out and these colour options open up a lot of opportunities in that respect.
Build quality is pretty good throughout, despite the face that the side panels and top panel are a little thin and a good kick with your shoe will likely result in a dent if you’re not careful; this is to be expected of course, if you want your chassis to be cut from 6mm thick reinforced steel, then expect to pay a lot of money for it, if you’re buying a £30 case, expect thin panels. So long as you look after it, you’ll have no issues and overall the interior components and fittings are nice and robust, especially the hard drive bays and the drive mounting trays that fit into them.
Component support is pretty high, I did manage to squeeze a Sapphire R9 270X into it after all! and for those who want to spend all their budget on a good CPU / GPU combo, it’s great to see they’ll find a comfortable home in a chassis as affordable as this.
“The Neos is a great investment for those looking for an affordable solution, it’s got great aesthetics, reasonable build quality and options such as the side panel window and different colour choices means its easy to tailor the chassis towards your build to make it look as good as possible. Easily one of the best budget chassis on the market right now and certainly competitive against many rival brands”
