So there we have it, the Raider from Bitfenix mid-tower pc chassis, over all I’m really happy with this chassis, I really like the style that Bitfenix have applied to it, everything from the soft touch edging to the high quality textured paint job on both the inside and outside of the case give everything a premium quality to it all, so its definitely a big win as far as style goes in my opinion.
Its really nice to see that they went the extra mile and installed a fan controller and 4 USB 3.0 sockets on the top of the chassis too, the fan controller obviously allows you to adjust your cooling quickly should you need some extra peace and quiet or even just need to keep your rig cooler when benchmarking. The addition of a split USB 3.0 cable that allows for backwards compatibility as USB 2.0 sockets is another big score for this case, meaning if you don’t have a USB 3.0 motherboard the ports aren’t going to waste.
When it came to building this system I was supprised at how quickly I was able to get everything installed, thanks to the extra room for the CPU cooler, the large rear cut away for the CPU cooler, quick release hard drive bays and the extra space at the back from cable management meant I was able to build this from start to finish in 30min, which for a complete system is a pretty good time.
While this case isn’t exactly cheap, costing around £80 at time of writing, you do get a lot for your money, to fit so many features into a small case while making no compromises when it comes to style, even when it comes to installing extra cooling, components there is plenty be grateful within this chassis.
It doesn’t take long to see why this case is a firm favourite with gamers and system builders alike, providing everything you need for the latest systems with ease and making this case a solid all rounder, which is why I am happy to award the BitFenix Raider mid-tower chassis our Editors Choice award.
