BitFenix Recon Fan Controller Review

Taking a look at the front of the box, we can see that it comes in a rather compact package which isn’t much bigger than the product its self, sporting a very stylish black and green design and a fantastic product shot of the Recon and its LCD display. We can also see on the bottom left two of the Recons party tricks, such as its support to be controlled via the internet and mobile devices.
Around the back we can see a run down of the major features, such as its SofTouch finish, the same stuff they have used on the front of the Prodigy chassis, so it should look and feel nice once installed. 5 x 10w fan channels, I know it says 30w on the box, this was a misprint and has since been corrected, but trust me that 10w each is more than enough power for even the most demanding fans on the market with plenty to spare, fan alarm range of 30c – 90c and a 3.7″ screen.
Upon opening the box we can see there are plenty of additional cables included with the Recon, such as some fan and LED cable extensions, adhesive tape strips for the thermal sensors, installation screws and a user installation and operation guide. There was also a small card detailing the download location of the desktop software.
