As you can see in the picture below, there are a lot of things going on with the touch interface, offering you the ability to set fan alarm temps direct on the touch panel for each sensor, adjust fan RPM, turn power on and off, toggle the sound from the device, as it features a beep noise as default when ever your press the panel. A pretty solid set of features over all.
The Recon also features a web power piece of software, allowing you to tap directly into the device and adjust settings from your desktop, or dare I say it, anywhere in the world, although I am yet to figure out exactly what use there is for such a feature. The best thing about the software though has to be the ability to set profiles for the whole thing, meaning you can have a pre-set for maximum cooling, silent pc operation or what ever takes your fancy selected and set with just a few clicks, much quicker than adjusting everything separately on the device its self.
The next feature comes in the form of a mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows, which again offers you much the same functionality as the front panel of the device, again I’m not sure what the purpose of this is, but its a very clever feature non the less, but I’ll personal file this under “it’s better to have it and not need it”.
