BitFenix Shadow Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Complete System
The BitFenix Shadow features a fairly old-school interior design, which means it’s also relatively simple and easy to work with. It only took me fifteen minutes to put the system together; which is pretty quick, even for me. Despite the limited cable routing space, the build still looks neat and tidy and there’s no excess cables obstructing the airflow within the case.
The Corsair H80i will fit in the back of the chassis, although it did take a little effort to screw it into place as it was a little tight; it’s also putting a little extra strain on the water hoses, so I don’t think you would fit this particular cooler with a push-pull fan configuration.
The hard drive bays are fixed in place, but there is still plenty of clearance for a high-end graphics card; our Sapphire R9 270X Toxic fits with no problems.
The old school locking drive bays may not look as cool as modular drive trays, but they’re durable and easy to work with; if you look closely you can also see the 2.5″ drive bay; the drive screws directly to the base of the chassis.
All finished and the chassis looks as neat and tidy as it did when I took it out of the box.
