Computex 2024:

BiWin is one of the biggest names in storage, albeit one that many of you may not have heard of, but one that is at the heart of many major brands on the market today, such as ACER, Predator, HP and more. Of course, that meant we had to stop by their booth to see what new products they’ve got ready for the back half of 2024!

First up, it’s the CB4000 CFexpress 4.0 Type B, admittedly this is a bit of a niche product for your typical consumer, but has a strong market for professional use. It features the PCIe Gen4 x2 interface, meaning it can deliver incredible read speeds of 3750 MB/s and write speeds of 3300 MB/s, which is frankly incredible given the size of the card. It’ll be available in 128, 256, 256GB and 1TB sizes, and comes with a very generous 10-year limited warranty.

Next up, it’s the CA2000 CFexpress 4.0 Type A, pretty much the same thing, but using the PCIe Gen4 x1 interface with 1850 MB/s read and 1750 MB/s write, and of course, it won’t be quite as expensive as a result of this.

For something a little more flexible, the PM2000 Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 is available in 512GB and 1TB variants, and can deliver read speeds of 2000 MB/s, and write speeds of 1800 MB/s, and comes with a 5 year limited warranty. Of course, the key feature of this is that it is Type-C, meaning it’ll work on a vast array of devices to suit your needs.

Moving onto memory, there’s the HX100 DDR5 Heatsink, which feature DDR5 memory, in 32GB, 28GB and 64GB kits, using 16GB and 24GB DIMMS with speeds of 6000, 6400, 6600, 6800 and 7200 MT/s. Furthermore, they’ll be available in timings of CL30, CL32, CL34, and CL36, so they’ve really got a bit of everything covered here to suit your needs and your budget.

For the gamers, there’s the NV74000 Heatsink, a nice and fast PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD, with 512GB, 1TB, 2TB and 4TB variants. This drive can deliver speeds of up to 7400 MB/s and 6500 MB/s write, and features and single-sided design for increased compatibility. Oh and there’s RGB, you gotta have RGB.

And it’s also available without the heatsink for those of you who have one built into your motherboard, laptop, or want to stick it in a compatible console.

There’s even a PCIe 3.0 version for those looking for upgrades to older systems on a budget.

For those wanting no compromise on performance, there’s the wickedly fast X570 PCIe Gen5 SSD, which can deliver up to 14500 MB/s read and 14000 MB/s write, making it one of the fastest drives on the market right now.

They’re also on board with the latest innovations in DDR5 LPCAMM2, which we’re seeing implemented into upcoming handheld systems, laptops, and even in a few upcoming desktop motherboards! With speeds of up to 9600 MT/s, I’m really looking forwards to putting the new LPCAMM2 through its paces.
