Those of you who were impressed by the various gameplay videos of Black Desert Online will be glad to know that you’ll be able to actually play the upcoming MMORPG yourself in 2016, as Daum Games Europe has recently announced that the title will be arriving in North America and Europe. Black Desert Online is an open world action game that features some of the most impressive visuals ever seen in an MMORPG. However, its graphical features are not its only highlight, as the title boasts a fast-paced, action-orientated combat system as well as a plethora of quests and other engaging content.
Its character customization system is arguably the best on the market right now, as it gives players access to everything they need in order to modify even the slightest details. The Western version of the game will be quite a bit different when compared to its Korean and Russian counterparts, especially when we’re talking about progression, balancing and monetization. Black Desert Online won’t be a free-to-play game but it won’t require a subscription either. Players will only need to purchase the game once in order to be able to enjoy its full content, just like they have to do with titles such as Guild Wars 2 or The Elder Scrolls Online. The Project Manager over at Daum Games, Daniel Loehr, had a few words to say about the upcoming transition to Western players:
“We are putting a lot of effort in the game’s Western localization. We are localizing approximate 2.5 million words into English, German and French. Black Desert Online’s content and gameplay systems will be adjusted to accommodate Western players and our differentiating business model.”
