When it comes to games selling, some of the classics still sell well. Sega recently announced how happy they were that during their recent sale, the mega drive collection sold impressively well for 20-year-old games and now it would appear that another older game is selling well. Thanks to a recent announcement it would now appear that you’ll be hard to find a copy of Call of Duty Black Ops that isn’t being brought.
The announcement was made by Microsoft and stated that the popular game was joining the ever-growing list of games that the Xbox One would feature backward compatibility for. Following the announcement sales for the 2010 game skyrocketed, with the sales on Amazon increasing by the not so small factor of 2,354% for the standard edition and 1,295% for the LTO edition while Amazon.co.uk now rates the game second, only to the recently released Uncharted 4.
With reports that Black Ops now features over 80,000 players online at any one time, it would appear that people are as keen as ever at bringing back the classics with the start of the Black ops series soon to join the collection of those waiting for the next game in the series, Infinite Warfare, to release.
