In the press and across the internet recently has been talk of how rubbish BlackBerry are doing, how weak their sales are and how their company is struggling immensely with its finances. However, with the release of the BlackBerry Z10, suddenly nearly-everything became positive and there was talk of how well the new phone was doing with sales being much higher that expected in the USA and the UK.
Now it appears that good aurora is continuing as BlackBerry have just reported the sale of 1 million BlackBerry 10 devices with an established sales partner. One million sales in one single deal is a fantastic achievement for BlackBerry and we hope this really turns around their fortunes because no one wants to see a smartphone market dominated by a couple of companies.
BlackBerry couldn’t reveal much about the deal because they said “we are bound by confidentiality and cannot disclose our partner’s name”. However, what is clear is that this deal is the largest ever single purchase order BlackBerry has received on its record books.
Speculation is diverse and the U.S military, a western government, a foreign business or just a mobile network carrier are all frequently touted options for the potential buyers. Expect it to be revealed soon enough, but in the meantime what do you think of the BlackBerry OS 10 and the new Z10 smartphone? Is it good enough to fight with the Android and iOS giants? Have you bought one or are you considering buying one? Let us know what you think!
