The world renown computer peripheral manufacturer, Razer, has recently reported a break in at their Bay Area Research & Development lab on the 4th of November.
The stolen goods appear to be two of Razer’s Blade prototype, a brand new gaming laptop system presented not so long ago.
With specifications such as an Intel Core i7 2640M processor (2.80GHz), 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 memory, 17.3” LED backlit display with resolution of 1920×1080 powered by an Nvidia GeForce GT 555M incorporated with Nvidia Optimus Technology and 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory, I really can’t see why anyone would steal this…
The break in was announced via Razer’s Facebook page:
Dear Razer Community,
Over the weekend of 11/4/11, we had a break-in at one of our Razer offices. Two Razer Blade prototypes were stolen from our Bay area R&D lab.
As you can imagine, the return of these prototype units is very important to the company. We have already reported this to the authorities who are working closely with us on this matter.
We take this act of theft seriously and would like to appeal for its return and discourage anyone from buying the Razer Blade prototypes from the perpetrators, whether online or otherwise, as they are stolen property.
We appreciate any and all information anyone may have on the incident. Please contact us at cult@razerzone.com if you have any information.
Thank you for all your support.

With most of us being into gaming, we all know that such “under the belt” actions are not what we call fair play, so we sincerely hope that the thieves are caught soon and brought to justice (where is Batman where you need him?).
If, for some reason, you’ve no idea what the Razer Blade is, just check the announcement here.
