Blade Runner 2049 Trailer Released

Warner Brothers have released the Blade Runner 2049 trailer for the long-awaited sequel. And when I say long-awaited, I mean too long!
For years people have asked for it, there have been a few attempts to get a sequel going, and it finally looks like all of the requests, talk and effort have paid off.
Set 30 years after the original Blade Runner, there’s a new Blade Runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling). Here’s what Warner Brothers have released as a plot summary;
“LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.”
Originally, Ridley Scott was supposed to direct Blade Runner 2049, however he has taken a step back and is now the executive producer, the role of director now lies with Denis Villeneuve. I do hope that they keep that Ridley Scott feel to it and don’t stray too far from his style, although I do expect Denis Villeneuve to put his own stamp on it. It will be very interesting to see what they have produced.
For those, like me, who are a little rusty with the original, be sure to freshen your memories before going to see the sequel. I’m sure some of you still have the VHS, maybe give your VHS player a bit of a clean, those heads can be unaligned and no doubt will need a clean!
Here is the trailer, take a look!
If you want to know more about the cast, here is the imdb page for the movie. The movie is set to be released on 6th October 2017.
