Blade Runner Would Look Amazing in Unreal Engine 4

American neo-noir science fiction film Blade Runner came out in 1982 and enjoyed critical acclaim. Now, so many years after its original release, the movie is still receiving some well-deserved attention, not just because its sequel is about to be shot next summer, but also because a Polycount member named Josh Van Zuylen is working on recreating its unique environments in Unreal Engine 4. Unreal Engine 4 was initially released in May 2012, while its stable release was unveiled not too long ago on November 11, 2015. The free-to-use engine includes a plethora of useful tools that allowed Josh to put together a very intriguing project.

Just in case you were wondering how Blade Runner would look in Unreal Engine 4, the project’s creator has recently unveiled a series of screenshots that are quite impressive to say the least. Unreal Engine 4 is known for being able to support incredibly realistic visuals, which is why we should expect the final version of the project to be quite inspiring. Even though it’s still a work in progress, the screenshots definitely look promising, especially as far as textures, colors and details are concerned. Have a look at the following images and let us know what you think about Josh’s work so far.
