With so many large-scale games coming out in the next year, we are starting to hear about the next stage, the games that are still being designed and enhanced. Some of these will be new games set in new universes with entirely new problems for us to solve, others will see us visiting familiar scenes and settings while trying to write a wrong that never seems to go away. In this taste, Blizzard is looking to hire and all signs point to Diablo IV.
Blizzard is a big name right now, with their latest game, Overwatch, taking the online community by storm (pun intended). A while ago the company posted saying about looking for a game director who could “lead the Diablo series into the future”. Diablo already has 3 successful games under its belt so Diablo IV could come sooner or later thanks to a new job.
The latest posting is asking for someone with at least five years of experience directing projects and with at least a few AAA projects behind them. These job postings could be completely unrelated but there is a chance, no matter how small, that we could see a sequel to 2012’s Diablo III bringing you back into the world to save it yet again.
