How would you like a job in the gaming industry? Presumably, some knowledge of coding, game design or 3d modelling would be useful. Well, if you are, then good news! Blizzard Entertainment is hiring new staff for a yet unnamed game.
According to their official job posting, Blizzard Entertainment has said: “Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented gameplay engineer to help create vehicles and build vehicle handling features in a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project. The ideal candidate has proven experience in vehicle handling, with exposure to other game systems like physics, animation, and cameras.”
With Facebook recently hiring for a new London office, this isn’t the first time we have seen a major technology company looking for new staff.
Any news of a new Blizzard game, however, is surely good news! Particularly since they so rarely release bad games.
The hiring clearly seems to indicate that Blizzard has a new first-person game in the works. Given the recent success of Overwatch, this is hardly surprising. However, beyond the fact that it is a new game and that vehicles will be involved, very little else is known, I must confess though the announcement did make me wonder for a second whether Blizzard might have been considering having another go at the Starcraft FPS (Ghost) they cancelled so many years ago.
Admittedly, the chances of this are slim, but then again, not impossible either. We can always hope.
The full job listing can be read on Blizzard’s official website.
At this point, those with some experience might be thinking of applying. Well, here are the official job requirements.
Requirements
This is clearly in the very early stages, therefore, don’t expect any game announcement soon. Hopefully though, in addition to Overwatch, we might have a new Blizzard game just peeping over the horizon.
