Right after posting my initial report on Bloomberg’s rumours, I noticed that the trailer had been officially confirmed by Rockstar just half an hour earlier, yeah I’m hitting myself as well. It is confirmed the GTA VI trailer will be coming in December as shared by Rockstar on their website and various social accounts. Alongside the 25th anniversary, in early December “We will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto”.
The majority of GTA VI rumours have been stretches at best and intercontinental missiles at worst meaning myself and many others have ignored and brushed them off as hardly worth paying any attention to. Today however is a bit different as a new rumour comes from Bloomberg, a fairly reliable source and not some random bloke on Reddit trying to link the moon with the Vinewood sign and the amount of pixels on a distant bush.
Jason Schreier of Bloomberg has made the claim “Rockstar Games, a division of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., plans to announce the next highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto game as early as this week, according to people familiar with its plans.” He goes on further to claim that a trailer for GTA VI will be shared next month in line with Rockstar’s 25th anniversary. The source of these claims as expected requested to remain anonymous. On top of this Take-Two will be presenting a financial report on Wednesday which does make sense to accompany the reveal of GTA VI. Considering the monumental success of GTA V which sold more than 185 million copies, I do wonder if VI be able to reach that level of success as well.
For now, we wait and I hope to be reporting the announcement of GTA VI next week, just have to avoid the mouth breathers who’ll be crying about it being “woke” or something.
